Suzanne McGregor

as a family and gerontological nurse practitioner. She is a native San Antonian who received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Baylor University in 1994. Mrs. McGregor continued her training as an advanced practice registered nurse and received her master’s and post graduate degrees in 2008 and 2009 from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

As a nurse practitioner, Mrs. McGregor is able to evaluate, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illness. Her scope of practice includes ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, referring to other specialists, and performing minor procedures. She has additional specialized training in gastroenterology, hepatology, hematology and oncology.  She is certified for video capsule endoscopy of the small bowel, which is a non-invasive way to evaluate a portion of the intestine that cannot be reached with a scope. Suzanne has been in collaborative practice with Dr. Seema Dar since August 2011.  She is passionate about preventing colon cancer.

She is married and the mother of two sons who are in college.
